Leafy Persian Violet is an annual herb, with stems very racemose and with the branches broadly winged. Leaves are oblong-lanceshaped, long pointed, nearly stalkless. Flowers are borne in leafy corymbs. They are violet in color, with 5 oval or long pointed petals. Capsule is roundish ellipsoidal. Leafy Persian Violet is native to South India.
